How does it work?

Whether a Barista is looking for full-time, part-time or simply a shift here and there, we have plenty of opportunities available. Through our app, Baristas choose when and where to work, developing their coffee skills in a way only a freelance barista can.

Once on the app, those who work with us gain access to an extensive database of opportunities within coffee, connecting them with some of the leading coffee businesses across the world.

Baristas on the service will also have priority access to our ‘placement’ programme, allowing longer-term cover in some of the most prestigious locations, as well as first glimpse a BOT HQ roles. Development opportunities and events are also available, giving Baristas the opportunity to develop skills outside of the bar.

Interested in Joining?

We have a number of requirements to meet:
- 2+ years in specialty coffee, in a barista-focussed role.
- Ability to steam silky micro foam for a range of beverages, and pour a variety of latte art patterns (rosettas, hearts and tulips as standard, anything else is a bonus)!
- Filter brewing proficiency, in both batch brew configuration and hand brewing (e.g. V60, Kalita and Clever Dripper).
- Highly skilled and experienced in espresso theory, where you can both adhere to a set recipe but also adjust to taste wherever necessary.
- A personable attitude and positive approach to work. No two shifts at Baristas on Tap are the same, and these should be enjoyed (not endured)!
